Acoustic Behaviour of Nonwovens Abstract The article reviews the acoustic properties of nonwoven fabrics. sound absorption coefficients (SACs) of needle-punched and thermal-bonded nonwovens produced from polyester (PET) fibers with various cross sections, i.e., hollow, round and hexaflower, blended with a low melt PET, was reported. Efforts have been taken to develop relatively lightweight and fibrous acoustic webs. Nonwoven webs that contain bicomponent filaments with islands-in-the-sea cross sections were produced by spun bonding, which involves the extrusion of sea and island polymer melts through dies, cooling and attenuating the bicomponent filaments by high-velocity air streams. Nylon 6 and polyethylene were used as the island and sea polymers, respectively. Design Drawing: Rapid Prototyping through the Design Process Abstract In recent times the focus for designers has been to increasingly engage with technology to generate more realistic and highly finished graphic representations and even virtual reality [VF] simulations that reflect real-to-life versions of potential design outcomes. This paper explores the advantages of design drawing as a form of rapid prototyping. What might be lost as traditional design methods, such as design drawing, are replaced with the release of more accessible, less expensive, technological replacements? The concern for designers, and design education, should be the potential loss of tacit understandings that arise as a part of the traditional design process and the physical, hands-on environment of the studio. The Role of External, Internal Influences In Consumers’ Online Shopping Intentions Abstract The e-commerce industry in Pakistan has seen exceptional development in the past few years. This growth has been fuelled up by the rapid adoption of technology, improving standards of living, and an increasingly young population, besides increasing access to the Internet through broadband and the use of smartphones. The purpose of this paper is to narrow this knowledge gap by examining the impact of environmental and motivational factors on consumers’ online shopping intentions in Pakistan. By using the structural equational model, this study applies the concept of the Stimulus-Organism-Response paradigm, with the combination of the Technology Acceptance Model.
